| | GPS Geocaching/Hiking Head off to a beautiful local park to look for treasure or for some great local hiking! Campers on this trip will stay overnight at a campsite only two miles from Astrocamp and hike back the following morning. | | | | Mountain Biking/Camp Out Ride on one of the best mountain bike single tracks in the area and spend the night at the Hurkey Creek Campground (only 7 miles from camp by car and 4 miles by bike). This trip includes riding home the next morning.
Note: Restricted to campers that have been in, or will be in, a Mountain Biking class. | | Advanced Rockets Camp Out Travel to a dry lake bed in the Lucerne Valley and spend the day launching the rockets you built and spend the nights hanging out around the camp fire with your friends roasting smores.
Note: Restricted to campers in the Advanced Rockets Class | | | | Rock Climbing Day Trip The San Jacinto Mountains have some of the best climbing in southern California. Get up early, eat breakfast, pack your lunch, and head out for a great day of top-rope climbing on rock faces that are visible from Astrocamp! |
