What to Expect Setting sail on the TOLE MOUR is a life changing experience. Not only will you get the chance to see some of the most beautiful scenery in all of Southern California, you will also learn how to maintain and keep the ship sailing. Shipmates aboard the TOLE MOUR learn a variety of jobs that are essential to the ships operations. Shipmates will learn how to raise and lower the sails, handle the lines, navigate, keep watch, and generally work with the rest of the crew to ensure the vessel functions properly. You and your shipmates will work together with the professional crew to bring us to amazing islands where we will explore, above and below the water to our hearts content. All along the way you will get to know yourself better, as well as everyone on the ship. This will be a shared experience to the fullest meaning of the word. Aside from the work, the TOLE MOUR was designed for fun! Shipmates will sail to and from different Channel Islands discovering the unique beauty of each island. On certain islands, shipmates will get the chance to camp out and hike and really explore the land. When not anchored having an adventure by land, shipmates will participate in traditional camp activities as well. The TOLE MOUR hosts an annual Ship Olympics where shipmates will compete in a variety of events testing their knowledge gained while working on the TOLE. The TOLE MOUR dance is always a shipmates favorite where they can hang out with their friends and relax for a night or get on the dance floor and bust a move. Shipmates that are SCUBA certified will have the opportunity to dive various spots around the islands they visit. Those who aren't certified, can explore the underwater ecosystems by snorkeling. It doesn't matter if you are snorkeling or diving, the water's surrounding the islands are amazing! We hope to see you on board this summer and we know once you are on the ship, you will never want to leave, just ask any returning shipmate!
